J.R. appears to be picking up where he left off last season - namely, playing strong. He still makes the occasional head-shaking dumb play, but they come fewer and farther between these days, and there are more and more amazing positive plays to discuss these days. He could easily compete for the 6th man of the year award this season, bringing a lot of firepower as the first option off the Nuggets bench. |

| Steven Hunter just can't seem to get his knee problems resolved. Expected to compete for the backup center position, and garner decent minutes with Marcus Camby traded in the offseason, it looks like Hunter will again be near the very end of the Nuggets bench, if and when he can get healthy. |
